Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our notary services. By scheduling an appointment with our notary business, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  • Estimates and Final Review

All price estimates provided online are for informational purposes only. These estimates are based on preliminary information and may be subject to change after the notary has made a visual inspection of the services provided. The estimate for non-real estate notary services is based on the current Maryland regulated Notary fee structure which includes a mileage fee. The mileage fee calculation may change from the original estimate dependent on the end location of a previous order (which is the start location of the next order in some cases). While every effort is made to make the initial estimate accurate, it is a possibility that another order could be confirmed after your confirmation and scheduled before your appointment time resulting in a changed start location for your appointment. As such, your actual mileage fee may be more or less than the originally quoted price. White Rose Notary is committed to charging no more than an additional 50% of the quoted mileage price or contacting you asap so that you can accept or reject the updated mobile mileage fee. Additional fees may apply if additional services are required (e.g. print, scan, courier, witness, etc.)

  • If the notary arrives at the appointment and cannot perform the notarization for any reason, the customer is required to pay the travel and mileage fee which will be written and itemized.

  • The customer is required to have a valid government issued ID present at the appointment

  • The customer is required to have the form(s) completed and initialed (as appropriate by the signer) but not signed or dated upon arrival of the notary so that the notarization process is efficient.

  • If witnesses are required for the document, the customer is required to plan for them to be present and on time with government issued photo ID present. Witnesses must be 18 years or older with government issued photo ID and impartial (no direct or indirect connection to the document).

 

Payment Terms

  • Initial Non-Refundable Fee:

Clients are required to make a non-refundable payment of $5 prior to scheduling an appointment. This fee secures your appointment slot and will be subtracted from the final fee which is due at the time of the appointment.

  • Non-notarization Appointment

Mileage and Travel fee is due from the customer at the time of the appointment if the notary arrives and is unable to notarize the document due to conditions not meeting MD notary law requirements, documents not available/prepared, no ID present etc.)

 

Cancellation Policy

If the customer needs to cancel/reschedule the appointment, it must be done within 2 hours of the scheduled appointment time. A $5 travel fee is required in advance to secure the appointment and is non-refundable. In the event of cancellation prior to 2 hours of the appointment, the $5 fee can be applied to the rescheduled appointment time. If the appointment is not rescheduled within 48 hours of your cancellation, you forfeit the $5 credit.

 

General Provisions

  • Modifications:

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will be effective immediately upon posting.

  • Acceptance of Terms:

By scheduling an appointment and making the initial payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree with these Terms and Conditions.
